Hannover has an international airport and convenient train connections to most places in continental Europe. The talks take place in the University's main building Welfenschloss, located just north of the center of Hannover.

- At Hannover Airport (HAJ), go to the S-Bahn station and take S5 to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). The train leaves every hour at minutes 6 and 36. The ride takes 17 minutes. Tickets (3.50 Euros, valid also on the subway) are available from ticket machines at the platform.
- Leave the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) through the main entrance, walk straight for 250 meters (across Ernst-August-Platz and through Bahnhofstrasse) to Kröpcke, take subway U4/U5 towards Garbsen/Stöcken and get off at Leibniz Universität (3rd stop). A ShortTripTicket (KurzstreckenTicket, 1.50 Euros) is enough, but if you are coming from the airport, your S-Bahn ticket is still valid.
- The lecture hall is room B302 (3rd floor). If you enter the castle through its main entrance, it is on the left side of the balcony of the central hall.
- Registration: in front of the lecture hall before the first lecture.
Hotel Savoy
Hotel Savoy can be reached easily by public transport:
- From the airport, take S5 (see above) and get off at Hannover Nordstadt. Take tram U6 towards Messe/Ost and get off at Christuskirche (3rd stop).
- From the main station, walk to Kröpcke (see above). Take tram U6 towards Nordhafen and get off at Christuskirche (2nd stop). A ShortTripTicket (KurzstreckenTicket, 1.50 Euros) is enough.
- The university is in walking distance (0.7 km).
Hotel am Herrenhäuser Garten
Hotel am Herrenhäuser Garten can be reached easily by public transport:
- From the airport, take S5 (see above) and get off at Hannover Nordstadt. The hotel is in walking distance (1.0 km).
- From the main station, walk to Kröpcke (see above). Take tram U4/U5 towards Garbsen/Stöcken and get off at Appelstraße (5th stop).
- To reach the university, take U4/U5 from Appelstraße towards Roderbruch/Anderten and get off at Leibniz Universität (2nd stop). A ShortTripTicket (KurzstreckenTicket, 1.50 Euros) is enough.
Hotel in Herrenhausen
Hotel in Herrenhausen can be reached easily by public transport:
- From the airport, take S5 (see above) and get off at Hannover Nordstadt. Take S1 towards Minden or S2 towards Nienburg and get off at Hannover Leinhausen (1st stop). Now walk (0.6 km) or take U4/U5 towards Roderbruch/Anderten and get off at Herrenhäuser Markt (1st stop).
- From the main station, walk to Kröpcke (see above). Take tram U4/U5 towards Garbsen/Stöcken and get off at Herrenhäuser Markt (8th stop).
- To reach the university, take U4/U5 from Herrenhäuser Markt towards Roderbruch/Anderten and get off at Leibniz Universität (5th stop).
Workshop dinner
On Tuesday evening, we have a workshop dinner in the restaurant Gartensaal (on the rear side of Neues Rathaus). Please sign up for the dinner before Tuesday at noon. Due to university regulations, everyone must pay for their own meals, unfortunately.
- From Hotel Savoy, take U6/U11 from Christuskirche towards Messe-Ost/Zoo and get off at Aegidientorplatz (3rd stop). The restaurant is in walking distance (0.5 km).
- From the university and the other hotels above, take U4/U5 towards Roderbruch/Anderten and get off at Aegidientorplatz. The restaurant is in walking distance (0.5 km).
